Tis the last rose of summer           這夏日最後的玫瑰

Left blooming alone;                     獨自盛開著；

All her lovely companions             往日的同伴們都已經

Are faded and gone;                     因凋謝而殘逝；     

No flower of her kindred,             沒有其他的玫瑰，

No rose-bud is nigh,                     沒有玫瑰花蕾

To reflect back her blushes,          襯托她的紅潤

To pine on the stem;                      肢體憔悴；

Since the lovely are sleeping,          因那美麗正在逝去，

Go, sleep thou with them.               去吧，就這樣一同去吧。

thus kindly I scatter                        因此我溫柔的散去

Thy leaves o’er the bed               你的花瓣化作歸宿

Where thy mates of the garden       無聲無息的

Lie scentless and dead.                  躺在花園的懷中。

Soon may I follow,                         我不久也會同去，

When friendships decay,                 當友誼退色

And from Love’s shining circle     當寶石

The gems drop away.                     從愛的光環中墜落。

When true hearts lie withered,         當真心枯萎

And fond ones are flown,                當真愛逝去

O! who would inhabit                      哦！誰還願停留
